Birth Planning

Birth planning is an excellent way for you to communicate preferences about your care during birth to your caregivers. Understanding the choices available to you around the birth of your baby is vital to enable you to feel informed and confident. Your NHS midwife will discuss your birth plan during a thirty minute appointment at 36 weeks of pregnancy.

“Words can’t quite capture the huge difference you made; I will never forget your kindness, skill or your gentle understanding, thank you from the very bottom of my heart” – Anna, Mum of 1

Perhaps you have some questions about the options available to you, maybe you have been given some advice you wish to discuss further, perhaps you have had a difficult birth in the past, or maybe you’d just like to discuss your plans earlier than 36 weeks; whatever your reason for exploring this, Mama Sanctuary will offer you the time and space to discuss your birth options, without judgement or fearmongering.
